DISTANCES
ILIAD

Against the adivce of almost everyone we spoke
with, in 1976 Iliad formed our own record label
Nothern Lights Records, and released our first
album. In addition to touching on jazz, rock and
classical, some of the tracks explore what would
years later become known as New Age music.
Distributed only in Los Angeles, this album became
the most requested album for 1976 on the LA jazz
station KBCA.

from the liner notes:

Iliad is an instrumental trio that draws from
the many feelings of Jazz, Classical, and Rock Music.

Distances represents some of these feelings - serious
and light; simple and complex; structured and spontaneous...
in short a sequential collection of varying and contrasting
musical lengths.
